Let's Talk About Cirrhosis
Thank you to Mary for starting this Group.
Mary, I agree completely that this isn't an issue that's talked about much in terms of living with it, the symptoms, the challenges.
Much of it, in my opinion, is due to to the fact that it's often (though not always) caused by too much alcohol intake over a period of time. But regardless of how one has cirrhosis (and that's not the issue here, no more than lung cancer people should be blamed for smoking or HIV+ people should be blamed for having multiple partners or taking drugs) it is a condition that needs some light placed on it.
If anyone is living with cirrhosis or living with someone who has it, let's talk about the day to day lives and concerns.
We hope to grow this group together!

taboo disease , yes I do feel I cannot talk about this to very many people.
October 10, 2012 - 3:19pmwhen I was 15, I ran away from home,used some drugs,stopped and had a regular life.(no drugs,did drink alcohol)
At 41 was diagnosed with ovarian cancer got spayed and treated, and learned that I had hep c.
Now I am 61 and got diagnosed with cirrhosis when I was 55, I feel pretty good physically, but now I have these bad mood bouts,is this from the disease?Sometimes it is really bad. I have had treatment for depression ,sure it is not that, just feel angry about everything .
Anyone experiencing the same thing? It felt good to write this down.
