Vaping vs smoking
When people compare vaping vs smoking, the main difference is how they deliver nicotine. Smoking burns tobacco, which creates thousands of harmful chemicals and tar that damage the lungs, heart, and overall health. Vaping, on the other hand, heats a liquid to create vapor without combustion, so it usually contains fewer toxic substances than cigarette smoke. Because of this, many see vaping as a less harmful alternative. However, it’s not risk-free—vaping can still irritate the throat and lungs, cause nicotine addiction, and may trigger breathing issues, especially for people with asthma. In short, vaping might be “less bad” than smoking, but it’s still not harmless.
