Hey folks,
Looking for some help or shared experiences with iPhone repairs. I’ve got an

iPhone Repair

that’s seen better days. A few things going on:

Cracked screen – not just glass, the display is also acting up (green lines + touch issues).

Battery is draining like crazy – barely lasts a few hours with light use.

Face ID still works, but True Tone is gone after a previous repair (rookie mistake?).

I’m torn between:

Taking it to Apple (expensive, but genuine parts & warranty).

Going to a third-party repair shop (cheaper, but risks with Face ID & waterproofing).

DIY via iFixit kits (I'm decently handy but haven’t opened an iPhone before).

A few questions:

Anyone had success with third-party repairs for iPhone 12? Any parts quality issues?

If I go the DIY route, are there any must-know tips or tools that helped you?

Will Apple still service the phone if it’s been opened before?

Appreciate any advice, horror stories, or recommendations.
