For example, for over a year now I have been treated for 8 ear infections in the right ear, yet they were not sure if it was an actual infection. Well, three doctors later I drove to Loyola in Chicago only to find out that I have Sialadenitis (swelling of the salivary glands) - which is associated with hypothyroidism.

Had I found a simple explanation over a year ago, I could have saved time and money going from doctor to doctor who was unable to explain to me why I wake up every morning with a swollen gland, and what to do about it.

I am still not ready to admit that I "just have to live with it", as no one should have to "just live" with anything. There are answers out there, and by golly I will find them! I refuse to live my life with pain in my ears, glands that swell up whenever they chose to, and on occasion pain that radiates thru my teeth. I want answers, and I will not give up until I get them. And neither should you. If you have thyroid disease, and have any other symptom, do an internet search for that "symptom and thyroid disease". You may be surprised at what you find!
