Last minute marathon tips
The San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is just 11 short days away. I am battling the whole taper theory because ... well ... I don't quite feel like I deserve it! I have been training for about 4 months, but that also include a few vacations, social events, holidays and an injury. Looking back at the past 4 months I wish I could have squeezed in a few more hill workouts, speed days, weight training session and of course a little yoga.
BUT, I can't. I only have 11 more days until I have to put all those early cold dark mornings, blisters, sweat, black toenails, bruised knuckles (don't ask), gu filled mentally draining runs to the test.
I have read article after article about how anything I do at this point is not beneficial for the race day, but I can't put the competitive training mode to rest.
Does anyone advice for the last two weeks of marathon training?
