Thanks for your post, and for joining EmpowHER. It is completely normal to be afraid to talk with a guy you like. It is the fight or flight response to adrenaline you no doubt are getting when you see him and anticipate a possible interaction with him. I always used to feel my face redden, and my heart quicken, maybe the palms would get sweaty. Then all you want to do is run away. Sound familiar?
So who is this boy you like? Is he a classmate? Is he a friend?
