5 Tips to Get Rid of Acne for the Millennials

We know how frustrating acne can be for millennials. C’mon, just imagine those days when you don’t want to get out of the house because of a large pimple on your nose. 1. Clean up your makeup brush before using.

If you notice, most of the girls nowadays wouldn’t dare step out of the house without their makeup on. And sad to say, only a few of them takes extreme care at their makeup application process. As long as their brushes and sponges are there, they’d be quick at applying makeup. They don’t know that dirt and bacteria might be lurking in their brushes, causing acne breakouts.

Ideally, powder brushes should be washed once every two weeks. To do that, mix several drops of facial cleanser in a cup of lukewarm water. And then, dip your brush and swish it around. Rinse and let it dry.

2. Sanitize your gadgets and other devices.

According to studies, the gadgets we always hold in our hands have more bacteria and germs than the toilet seat in the bathroom.

Believe it or not, the glass used in our smartphones and other devices are considered breeding grounds of viruses. They thrive there so much that it’s like somebody sneezed at your face.

Whenever you play games on your phone or take a call, the germs go straight to your cheeks. As a result, pimples breakout. To prevent that from happening, it is best that you wipe the glass of your phone with an antibacterial wipe several times a day.

3. Sleep early.

You’ve probably heard this a lot of times before, but we want to tell it to you again. Sleeping early can offer you beauty benefits. If you deprive yourself of sleep, chances are, blood circulation is affected, making you look pale and dull.

The body’s cells rejuvenate at night. That is why dermatologists and experts recommend to always rest during that time.

4. Remove makeup before bedtime.

Yes, leaving makeup on while you sleep at night doesn’t only clog the pores, it can also result in excessive skin dryness.

Makeup is made up of a sugar-type of molecule that triggers the growth of yeast. If you fail to remove it, expect to see bumpy rashes all over the face. If you have a hard time removing makeup, use virgin coconut oil instead. It’s natural, safe, and effective.

5. Keep your hands away from your face.

No matter how tempting it is to prick that acne, do not ever do it. Doing so will only leave a permanent damage to the skin. Whenever you put pressure against a pimple, you are causing distress and inflammation to the skin. Also, bacteria are pushed deep into the layers of the skin, and you don’t want that to happen.
