Rocker and reality TV star Bret Michaels was back in the hospital Thursday after experiencing what experts called a warning stroke, the Associated Press reports.

Michaels, 47, was diagnosed with a patent forum ovale or a hole in the heart, his Web site reported. Joanna Mignano, Michaels' publicist confirmed the report. He was hospitalized after experiencing numbness on the left side of his body especially in his hands and face.

The condition is treatable and operable, doctors said, and likely unrelated to the brain hemmorrhage he suffered last month. Until all tests are conducted to determine the best form of treatment, the Poison frontman will receive injections of blood thinners daily to reduce the risk of clots.
