I had a total hysterectomy and ovaries removed in June of 2015 and it has been a difficult time as I did not get much help from my gynocologist once the surgery was done. I went to BHRT specialist and she put me on WAY TOO many things especially thyroid medicine which I found out I did not need, so I am starting all over with just the Vivelle dot .1 patch and have found that is not enough to eliminate my anxiety, severe insomnia, hot flashes and several other problems. I have since educated myself as much as possible about HRT and discussed my lingering symptoms with my doctor and she wants me to up my Vivelle dose to a patch and a quarter and see if that helps. I have been off of the thyroid med for 9 weeks and I am still feeling quite anxious and still have tinnitus. I am hoping this will get better with no more thyroid meds and upping my dose of estrogen.
