I was born with scoliosis and kyphosis, and had harrington rod corrective surgery at age 13. In 1984 the long-term prognosis was believed to be that of most healthy young girls and women. I later found out I couldn't have any children because of the condtition, as well as that I had developed asthma and allergies because of compression to my lungs from the kyphosis.
I had a work accident at 25, and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Turns out I was misdiagnosed for 14 years. I actually have Lupus and I am learning to deal with the damage already done to me and getting treated for my flares now.
