Dr. Alice Chung
Using her expertise as a member of the American Society of Breast Disease and the Society of Surgical Oncology, Chung has performed numerous surgeries, authored countless studies on the field of breast surgery and presented on such diverse topics as nutrition, imaging and metastases. Highly skilled at nipple-sparing mastectomies and other surgical procedures related to breast cancer surgery, Chung has dedicated her practice to helping women everywhere. To that end, she has also volunteered her medical assistance to women and others in Guatemala, Cameroon, Malawi and Zambia.
Educated at the University of Michigan where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chung received her Doctor of Medicine from Chicago Medical School. She completed her fellowship in breast surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York where she was also awarded a Breast Cancer Alliance Breast Surgery Fellowship Grant. Her research fellowship in surgery was completed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where she received the Leo G. Rigler Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement, the Craig A. Lipkin Research Award, and the Alec Borden Grant for Women’s Cancer Research. Chung is board certified in General Surgery and certified in Basic Breast Ultrasound by the American College Surgeons. Also a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Dr. Chung is dedicated to assisting all those with breast cancer.
