I am a twin and the second born of a set with one Down Syndrom Sister. We are a family of a single mom and three daughters. My twin sister whom has Down's, is entering the earliest stages of Alzheimers disease. This is her first real alilment. I was born and started from the gate with physical issues. We are half way to 48 yrs. old. I have had my appendix rupture and had the long surgury to clean out the body; my gallbladder needed to be removed after my fourth child, which was my fourth c-section due to the inability to give birth naturally because of some strange birth canal shape. The gallbladder removal required me to leave my newborn at home. I have had more hormonal problems than I can count. I am now in true menopause starting at 40 yrs. old. I had serious post partum depression, and though I probably had some depression all my life, I not realizing what it was at the time, was finally diagnosed after wanting to die. I presently have a yet undiagnosed joint issue involving my fingers and wrist. No, not carpal tunnel I had the surgery already on both hands. I also have at least one herniated disk. I have been diagnosed with Degenerative disk disease; arthritis evidence in my spine; Acute depression and probable Bi-Polar disease. The depression is being barely handled. the mood stabilizers for bi-polar were detrimental to my having ANY happiness. I have also been diagnosed with FIBROMYALGIA which explains alot.
