Dr. Steinmann explains if arthritis is contagious.
Dr. Steinmann:
No, it’s not contagious at all. That sounds like a silly question, but I have patients that come in, they say, “My mother, my father had arthritis. I have arthritis. Is this something that my children or my husband can get from? Is it something that’s contagious that’s causing the arthritis?” That would be, that does not occur. So I encourage my patients, I answer all the questions that they have, but I think that’s one that I think we can kind of put to rest.
