To make the diagnosis of a brain tumor you will usually first have a examination by a skilled professional who will be able to check your neurologic status out and look for subtle changes. If there’s any doubt in their minds, they will usually obtain an MRI scan or a CT scan to confirm their questions about the diagnosis.
