I am 36 and suffer from PCOS I have not had a period in over 10yrs. My endocrinologist started me on chlomid and metformin which gave me blood clots in my legs and chest. After being on blood thinners for about 1yr my period still did not return. However as of late every time I have sex I experience bleeding. This is usually during sex and will subside about 1day after however the last time I had sex this bleeding is bright red in color with small clots and enough to go through several tampons and pads per day lasting about 1 week so far and with no signs of slowing down at all. I've seen my doctor about this several times and I'm just not satisfied with his approach which seems to be a wait and see game. This is destroying my sex life. I need help and a solid understanding of what is going on with my body!!

Hi, TT2502.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I can see how upsetting this must be.

Bleeding during or after sex is not normal. Only a doctor can tell you what is going on through examination and tests (if needed). If you feel you are not satisfied with the approach your doctor is taking, find another doctor for a second opinion.

Keep us posted.
