Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with EmpowHER! Acute bronchitis is an infection of the tubes that transport air between the mouth and nose to the lungs.

One of the most common ways acute bronchitis can spread is from one person to another. When one person has the cough, it can easily be spread to another person if they are in close contact.

Acute bronchitis is an airborne disease. When someone coughs into the air, it can be spread on to another individual.

Do you know someone who has acute bronchitis? If you do, it is important to not be in too close of contact with them regularly. Try taking them to the doctor to get a prescription to help get rid of the bronchitis.

I hope this helped! Please let me know if you have further questions.

Best,
Erin
