Am not someone who has a regular period but I do see it every month it just changes its date. So this month had sex with bf on the 8th took morning after pill the day after. But we still have unprotected sex through out but usues the withdraw method but on the 16 he came inside of me so I decided not to take the morning after pill again cause I dint want it messing with my health. On the 17th I notice my nipple is sore whenever I touch them. We still has unprotected sex every day.I saw my period on the 20th of last month now today is the 24th and no sign of my period just light cramping and sore nipple when I touch them. Could I be pregnant or my period is just late?

I need some help fast, my girlfriend and I were in the heat of the moment and she got ontop of me a22nd we were just grinding genitals together. She is 16 and I don't think there was any prec*m but for the same of hypotheticals, lets say there was. We grinded for about 3 minutes and I was just rubbing my tip on her then she got off me and I finished later. Since then she's missed her period once and it's coming on the second month. We've done this two more times in the past month and a half. I really need to know if she's pregnant, what are the risks? She says that she gets nauseous and here breast and back hurt. But I think it's just paranoia cause she's always perfectly fine when she's with me. I need help please.

Hello Anonymous,

Pre ejaculate fluid itself does not contain sperm. There is a chance that sperm, left from a previous but recent ejaculation, can remain in your urethra. Once you urinate, it is flushed out.

Getting pregnant while grinding, which is a form of intimacy that involves going through the motions of having sex without penetration, is highly unlikely.

But, since your girlfriend has missed a period and you have done this before, I think she should take a home pregnancy test . She needs to test in the morning and use the first urine of the day.

If she has not been menstruating for very long, her body may still be adjusting. This would be another reason for a missed period.

Regards,
Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.

Having unprotected intercourse throughout the month carries the strong chance that you could be pregnant.

But your period could be further delayed as a side effect of taking an emergency contraceptive.

You can wait until the end of this month. If you have not gotten your period, take a home pregnancy test. For the most accurate result, test in the morning and use the first urine of the day.

Have you thought about speaking with a gynecologist and starting on birth control pills? Oral contraceptives can help regulate your menstrual cycle and prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

Regards,
Maryann
