Hi,

Doctor told me this started recently and can be curable with tablets.I am trying so many things to make the stool soft. In fact, I don't even eat the food which is hard. From last 3 days i started eating 2 tea spoon of rice with lots of butter milk & fruits like orange, banana, apple & grapes but still my motion is not getting soft and it is hurting me daily while passing. Please suggest me what else I should do?

Thank you

Hi Nina charles,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  It's best to speak to your doctor first.  He might suggest taking a regular fiber supplement will help keep your stool soft and easier to pass, to avoid further irritation of the fissure.  Applying nitroglycerin ointment to the anus widens blood vessels and increases blood flow to the fissure, promoting healing. This therapy also helps reduce pressure in the anal sphincter, which eases the spasm and decreases pain.
