Any help for skin that gets sticky when it gets wet?

sticky skin

Three nights ago I noticed that after washing my hands they felt really sticky, almost like when you use the last paper towel on the roll and you get that glue residue on your hands. However, it wasn't the last paper towel so I figured maybe the liquid soap was really old and doing funky things so I rewashed with dish soap and again grabbed a paper towel. Once again, my hands got sticky as I dried them off. Thinking now that there was something wrong with these paper towels, I washed again and this time dried with a hand towel only to yet again find my hands sticky as they dried off. The stickiness only lasts 30-60 seconds, until the skin completely dries, but during that in-between time of soaking wet and totally dry they feel very tacky to the touch and my fingers will actually stick to each other.

The next day when I took a shower I noticed that the water was beading up on the skin on my arms. Sure enough, when I dried off afterwards I found that all of my skin is tacky to the thouch until it is completely air dried.

Today I shaved my legs and my skin felt almost like it had a layer of wax on it that kept catching the razor. The skin on my hands seems to be getting more sticky when they get wet. Water continues to bead on my skin when it gets wet. I asked my children if they can feel that my skin is sticky to the touch and they said yes.

This is affecting all of my skin now, including my face. I always put a moisturizer on my face after washing and it does not feel like my skin is absorbing it now, it just feels heavy and greasy since the lotion just sits there on top. I also tried putting lotion on my hands and it was not absorbed at all, just left my hands feeling very slimy and greasy so I wiped it off.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or have any suggestions for what might be causing it? Thanks for any held you can give.

Regarding suggestion to drain water heater. I had my water heater replaced and it made no difference in the sticky skin.

Do you have a well? The oily feeling of water is caused by sulfur bacteria,so if it is in your water system you will just contaminate your new heater. Have your water tested, there is no test for sulfur bacteria but if you water is oily that is the reason, if not oily you have another problem. I put a shower filter in my shower it helps a lot but does not cure the problem completely.http://greenrisks.blogspot.com/2016/07/well-water-problems-hot-water-smells.html

I too have the problem of extremely sticky skin (all over) as soon as our water touches my skin. This has been going on for more than a year . I developed a very painful rash, then another. After paying gross amounts to two general practitioners and three dermatologists, I was diagnosed with excema, dishydrosis, and currently a staph infection. Oddly, no amount of medication, changing of personal care cleansers or lotions /moisturizers help.

I've had sticky skin since, I think, 2011. Really freaked me out for a few years. Think I accepted it, so not freaked anymore. Conventional docs are a waste of time and money. I think it's either something in food, environment or both. Eat organic, no GMOs with glyphosate. Glyphosate does horrible things to the body. Do a search on Jeffrey Smith and GMOs. Round Up is affecting our water, air and food. Don't know if that's cause of S.S. Eat healthy and detox. We're also being sprayed with aluminum (search "chemtrails"). We're a science experiment and are at the mercy of corrupt corporations feeding off of us. The medical industry, cancer industry, pharmafia/chemical industry.

Not sure if this is still active but I have this terribly for 4 years now.

Everything sticky, waxy feeling over face, head and hands. In my nose, ears and mouth.

Anyone find a solution? I’m starting to feel I can’t go on.

I have the same issue. Stickiness from head to toe. It is even my mouth and nose. Sometimes it is hard to eat. It has affected my hair as well. My hair doesnt grow and what grows has stuck to my body. This sticky coating makes it hard to wear clothes. I feel like I’m losing my mind. When it gets wet it is even worse. Everything sticks to me yet water beads off. Some days I don’t want to wake up and I barely leave the house. It is a living prison.

Lemons and salt internally / externally ~ dry skin brushing and frequent near or far infrared sauna use helps significantly. The sticky bio film is like grease. The layers of skin have been disturbed somehow and exude this sticky substance.

Hello, Anon.

Read through the comments, there are many, to see what has helped others but also, consider seeing a doctor to rule out any underlying health issue. It's not only affecting you physically but emotionally too.

Keep us updated.
