I had sex three months ago, and I have had two periiods since. I have a period two weeks after I lost my virginity, and then another one a month later, that one was exceptionally heavy. But this month I have not. Well not yet. It was due this week but they aren't 100% regular cause I'm only 16. Do you think I could be pregnant. I am so worried because if I am I'd be like 3 months pregnant. and I've just started my a levels so I'm stressing about them too. But if I go to doctors its hard to get to them because I live in a village in countryside with no shops. I'm stressing so much. Can any of you offer me some help or advice? Thank you.

I had sex for the first time in August and it was without safety. It took me a while to get my period and I was afraid I was pregnant. I finally got it around September, then October. I had sex again about two weeks into November with a condom then without it for two minutes and he didn't ejaculate not in nor out. About one week or two weeks after I had sex my period came around what it was suppose to be. Now it's the end of December my period could be about a week late but I'm worried I'm pregnant. Could I be pregnant if I got my period after having sex ?

Hello Anonymous,

Since you got your period following intercourse in November, you did not become pregnant then. If you have not had unprotected intercourse since your last period, pregnancy is not possible.

Stress, particularly high levels of stress can cause a delay in the start of your period.

If you miss more than one month, consider scheduling an appointment with your doctor, who can order blood tests to check hormone levels. A visit with a gynecologist would be a good opportunity to discuss birth control options.

Hello Laura,

If you have not had unprotected intercourse since your last period, you can relax because pregnancy is not the reason.

Stress, especially high levels of stress can cause a delay in the start of your period. Excessive weight gain or weight loss, being ill, like with the flu and extreme exercising can cause a delay.

If you skip more than one month, consider scheduling an appointment with your physician, who can order blood tests to check hormone levels.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

If you have had unprotected intercourse since your last period, pregnancy is possible. Take a home pregnancy test. For the most accurate result, test in the morning using the first urine of the day.

If you are in your 40s to early 50s, perimenopause could be the reason. During perimenopause, fluctuations in estrogen levels cause menstrual irregularities.

Hi, there. I had sex with a condom in August around the 20th or so. My periods were usually a 28 day cycle but they changed to 23 days. I had my period on the 3rd of September and again later in September. I also had my period perfectly on time in October and November. However, this month my period is a tad bit late. I am extremely worried, could I possibly be pregnant?

Hi Busi,

Pregnancy would be a possible reason if you had unprotected intercourse since your last period.

I haven't had sex since August. Judging from what I've explained do you think there is any chance I could be or am I just being paranoid because my period is late?
