I had my fallopian tubes removed due to multiple etopic pregnancies. I still have my ovaries, so can I still get pregnant?

Hello, both my tubes were 98% blocked as well. After a minor surgery I fianlly had a 8lbs healthy baby boy. He's turning 3 soon.
Follow your doctors advice and with the power of prayer and medical science I hope and pray you too will have your little miracle soon.

I have a disease to where both my tubes are blocked and I am told I have to have mine removed and I want a baby so badly it hurts, I don't have the 10grand for the ivf. But knowing their are other people going threw the same problem as I am makes me feel more not so alone.

Hello Bongiwe,

I can appreciate your desire to become pregnant and your concern about the surgery suggested by your doctor.

The decision is yours. Be certain you understand what is suggested. Do not be afraid to ask questions and to have your doctor repeat an answer if you do not fully understand.

This surgery may be your chance to conceive a child. I will be thinking positive thoughts for you.

Regards,
Maryann

My sister has been removed the last tube she had and was advised to go through the invitro fertilization and my question is, will her uterus carry the baby for the full term as she had two ectopic pregnancies??

Hi Anonymous,
Yes, I had an ectopic pregnancy in 2009 and had my left fallopian tube removed. In 2011 I fell pregnant again but unfortunately another ectopic and lost the right tube. Due to the fact that I now couldn’t fall pregnant naturally we decided to go for IVF in 2012 and in Jan 2013 my daughter was born. We were lucky enough for the IVF to work the first time around.

I had my tubes removed for the same reason. We did invitro last year and I am currently nursing my 3 month old. :) it is possible. Good luck to your sister!

Hello Anonymous,

There is no risk for an ectopic pregnancy again because she had both fallopian tubes removed. The viability of carrying the pregnancy to term can best be determined by her gynecologist, who knows her medical history.

Maryann

I had my fallopian tubes removed at a young age and now I have symptoms of being pregnant. In 26, went to er and urine pregnancy test was negative. Could I still be pregnant and not know it?

I had both of my tubes removed because of two eptopic pregnancies. The left one was removed in 2010 and the right one in 2011. My hubby and I were told that the only way we could have more children is if we do invitro or choose a surrogate. I am now pregnant, and the doctors have no explaination on how without invitro or using a surrogate. My pregnancy happened naturally.

Hello Anonymous,

If your fallopian tubes were removed there is no change that you could become pregnant, except through in vitro fertilization. The negative urine pregnancy test confirmed that you are not pregnant.

Maryann
