Hi Sweetest

Bacterial vaginosis is not normally thought of as something that a partner brings home. It has to do with changes in the normal bacterial balance of the vagina. However, it is associated with new or multiple partners, and it can be associated with other STDs.

I recommend you be tested for a range of STDs just to be on the safe side. Many do not have obvious symptoms, and sometimes when you get bacterial vaginosis you have picked up another infection. We have solid information on this: https://www.empowher.com/condition/bacterial-vaginosis and another good source is the Centers for Disease Control: http://www.cdc.gov/std/bv/stdfact-bacterial-vaginosis.htm

Until you know what is going on, please use condoms if you have sex. That way you won't be exposed or expose anyone else to anything while you are being tested to rule out other infections.

I know this is upsetting. Please get tested for your own health and safety. Good luck to you.
