Q:

Can a massive dose of Valium cause permanent damage to bowels?

Recently I tried to end things (unsuccessfully) due to a lifetime of multiple chronic illness and being a financial burden on my family, etc. I've had some incidents of fecal incontinence since and am wondering if I could have caused permanent damage to my bowels?

Hello,  Wondering1.  Thank you for posting.

I have no information that an overdose of this drug can cause permanent damage to your digestive system.  If you are having issues in this area, mention this to your doctor.

Hi,

Yes. I hope it will resolve. Hang in there. Give your body and mind time to heal. You went through a trauma.
