Hello, Anon! Thank you for your message today.
I can give you some information.
Pacinian Neuroma of the Hand is an uncommon tumor that is caused by multiple, repeated trauma, such as in the workplace. In this condition, painful lesions form on the hand, usually affecting the fingers.
According to DoveMed - the signs and symptoms of Pacinian Neuroma of the Hand include:
The tumors occur as a firm nodule on the hand/fingers.
The neuroma can be up to 1.5 cm in size.
The tumors are painful, when they are touched or when pressure is applied to them or with no pressure at all.
The size of the tumor may have no relation to the pain associated with it. A larger tumor does not mean that the pain will be severe. Sometimes, smaller nodules can cause severe and intense pain.
There is no mention of edema in the above information. It's best to see your doctor for evaluation rather than guess at what might what is going on.
