Can urine clear acne?

My sister and I were on the internet last night and came across some interesting websites...

The one that stood out most was a discussion board commenting on how urine is the best way to clear your face… Of course my sister and I were laughing like crazy. I mean, who is putting URINE on their face. People were explaining how urine took the redness out of their face, shrunk their pores, and made their skin glow. They claimed the results only took a few days.
As we were reading some of the comments we also found out there are many books out there discussing Urine Therapy. One book went into detail on how to apply this therapy to your face. READY LADIES !! First start with a clean face. Take a cotton ball ,pee on it… Then dab it on your face, wait 10 minutes then wash it off… Most of the comments were anonymous, after all who would tell anybody they were using urine therapy to clear up their acne?

So my question to you is , have you ever heard this before and would you think about using it? It Is Free !

P.S. I’m Going To TRY To Get Somebody In My Family To Try It. LOL.
As For Me, I Will Just Keep On Using Proactive.

I have not actually tried this remedy myself, but my mother told me I should a few months ago because my acne started to get really bad after stressing so much about college. My mother, as well as my father, told me they both used the remedy when they were teenagers and used up until they stopped modeling in their mid 20s. They both had flawless skin and they shared with me that newborn urine is the best for skin with acne because it is very pure and has no bacteria in it.

NOOOOOOOOO URINE DOES NOT CURE ACNE! ACNE NEEDS TO CURED FROM THE INSIDE NOT THE OUTSIDE. ACNE IS CAUSE BY TOXINS BUILD UP IN YOUR COLON AND IN YOUR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, THESE TOXINS END UP IN THE BLOOD STREAM ON EXITS THROUGH YOURS PORES WHICH LEADS TO PIMPLES AND BLACKHEADS SECOND OF ALL THIS TOXIC BUILDUP CAUSES CHANGES HORMONE LEVELS WHICH IS WHY SOME PEOPLE SKINS PARTICULAR YOUR FACE PRODUCE SO MUCH OILS....I AM NOT A DOCTOR IF YOU DONT BELIEVE LOOK IT UP ONLINE YOURSELVES...ACNE CANNOT BE HEAL FROM THE OUTSIDE YOU *MUST* START FROM THE INSIDE AND THE RESULTS WILL APPEAR ON THE OUT. THANK YOU FOR READING TODAY HAS BEEN YOUR LUCKY DAY IF YOU SUFFER FROM BAD ACNE AND BY THE WAY THOSE BOOKS THAT TALKED ABOUT GETTING RID OF ACNE FOR GOOD AND IN THREE DAYS...WELL THEY BASICALLY TELL YOU THE SAME THING TO DO BUT THEY TRY TO MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY, AM NOT! IF YOU ARE REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING ACNE FREE THEM GET YOUR COLON AND DIGESTIVE SYSTEM CLEAN. THANKS AGAIN AND ALL THE BEST;)

I agree with you. I was 38 years old and suffered from constipation, acne and no energy. I was desperate. I did some research and ended up on a one month cleansing. Done gradually works best, not by doing it overnight. I omitted all meat, juices, sweets and caffeine. My food was made up of only grains, vegetables, fruits and water. Mixing grains and vegetables correctly gives you protein. Google it and see for yourself. Two days into it I started going to the bathroom twice a day with no effort. I felt more energy too and although it was hard not to eat meat, after one week I was hooked. I had more energy, my skin got clearer, glowed and was softer too. For more than 6 months I had clear skin, energy and good bathroom habits. Doing this cleanse twice a year is so worth it. Research it!

weird... because i eat only low fat stuff, a lot of vegetables and fruit and almost no bread, no chocolate, no chips, no candy. and i go to the toilet very regularly. i drink green tea daily, i eat lemons and salads, i eat absolutely no fast food and drink no sodas. AND i still have a mild case of acne.
i started to eat this healthy and controlled because of the acne which started to appear half a year ago.
my grandmother and mother always told me to apply urine, they`ve tried it out (a long time ago of course) and for them it worked. i`m going to try it out too.
oh. and i just simply can`t trust these chemical derma-cosmetics.
my dermatologist said that i should use acne treatments from la roche-possay, i used it and nothing. my cosmetician told me i should hidrate all day long with this and that and it will surely go away. well it didn`t.
so... i think i have to go to the bathroom.

i was in the same exact place like u .. Im a teenager with a healthy diet .. No fast food no chips no candy no alcohol no chocolate and a very little coffee ( once - twice a month .and im fine with it ) plus exercising . I did all of that and i still had moderate acne .. I never went to a dermatologist and i wont .. Now finally i can see the results after a year and the most important step that i did (and still do) is applying vinegar diluted with water and since i started using vinegar most of the scars are gone and i barely breakout ..its just amazing . hope i helped anyone :)

You obviously need to do research, urine is not full of toxins, it is sterile, and 95% water.
I agree that acne should also healed internally, but you obviously need to maintain a skin routine.
As for urine on the face, I wouldn't completely dismiss it, I tried it myself a few times, and I am not sure it completely heals up acne, but I am hoping to see results.

i am 18 years old.
and i have never had a real problem with acne.
but about a month ago, i have been really stressing about college, school and such.
i broke out severely on my forehead.
i tried; Tea Tree Oil, Acne Cream, Benzoyl Poroxide, Egg Whites, Honey etc...

then i heard about Urine???
i thought it was completely disgusting.
but...you cant have an opinion about something if you have never tried it.

so this is what i have done.
dont use any products.

i only use Cetaphyl Face wash.
a mild soap.
used for any skin type and can even be used on newborns.
have been drinking plenty of water

and yes...
i tried urine.
used the mid stream pee and peed in a little container.
stored it in the fridge.
and after letting it sit for a few hours.
soaked a Q tip in the cup
and put it on my zits, let it stay on for the day(i stayed home) woke up the next morning, washed my face with cetaphyl.

immediate results.
amazing.

:)

I am try this urine treatment right now it has been two days and i can actually see results. I have tried everything from Pro-Active to Diffren Gel to Alcohol. Nothing has worked. I actually got so desperate that i tried it and my skin has not looked better. It may sound gross but I have been suffering with severe acne for 28 years and now my skin looks better than ever. My thoughts on it "Don't knock it until you try it!!"
