Hi anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Some emergency pills can work from 3-5 days after intercourse. You need to use condoms or any other type of birth control.  Anytime you have unprotected sex your chances for pregnancy to occur are higher. You need to discuss with your doctor about how to take any medication.

Best,

Daisy
