I, too, was er+/pr+ and Her2+++, node negative. I had a single mastectomy in October of last year and began chemo Dec. 29th, 2008. I am continuing with Herceptin through December this year. Hereceptin is the only drug to treat Her2+ breast cancer and is most effective when given in conjunction with chemo therapy. I think you should research this as much as you can to familiarize yourself with her2+ and to understand your risks of recurrence without herceptin. There is an oncotype DX test to see what your risk is and you should have your oncologist test your pathology tumor to see where you stand. Her2support.com is another great web site that may be helpful to you. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have as well. Feel free to e-mail me!
