Q:

COULD I BE PREGNANT?

Hi all. I'm hoping someone would be able to shed some light on my situation as I'm very confused. I have a 28 day circle and my period comes like clock work every month. I started my period on 25 JAN 2011. It lasts for 5 days which is normal for me. Then it started again the 22 FEB 2011 but then ended on half of the day on the 23 FEB 2011. The bleeding was normal for me for that 1 and half days but for it to just stop wasn't. After that I just had some very light brown spotting which lasted for another day or 2 and that was it. This month my period is due 21 MARCH 2011 according to calculations but nothing has started yet. My breasts aren't really painful. Maybe around them but I'm assuming its my bra. I did experience very sharp pains right next to my navel on my right side that actually woke me and made me cry out. As soon as I turned on my right it was gone! I got some lover back pain (could be my period) I'm not sure what to make of it. My fiance and I are trying to conceive but I don't know what's going on now with my period after it being normal for years! PLEASE help! Any advice would be much appreciated.

So it turned out that I am pregnant after all!!!! :P I took a HPT after being late on my period for 6 days. I'm soooo excited and really lucky because we've only been trying for a few months now. I have had no symptoms what so ever other than feeling tiny cramps thinking its my period and then this morning when I felt queesy for eggs and I love eggs which made me decide to test. I also got a sore throat, cough and runny nose since my period was late so I'm not really sure if that could be counted as a symptom but I know most women say they feel like they have the flu and discover they pregnant. I feel truly Blessed and I pray the rest of my pregnancy goes well. I hope some of what I said here and in my question might help someone else who is trying to figure out if they pregnant or not. *Baby dust to all* :-)

Hi Anonymous,
Unfortunately, sometimes our periods are just moody themselves as are we at times. Why can we sometimes have horrible cramps and then the next month, we have no cramps at all? The answer, sometimes it just happens.

Since you are trying to conceive, I am certain there is a possibility of pregnancy although any signs or symptoms of pregnancy mimic menstrual pains as well so without a pregnancy test, we won’t know. Since you are now 2 days past due (by your calculation), why not take a pregnancy test to see what the result is? When looking for a pregnancy test, they usually say right on the box how many days late you should be before using them.

I hope this helps and please keep us updated on the pregnancy test results.
Thank you,
Missie

Thanks so much for your reply. We have been thinking of all the pros and cons and we don't want to get excited before the time after all, its only been late 2 days and like you said, things like this happen. I will keep you posted when I know for sure what's going on. Thanks again....
