About two weeks ago, I didn't take my birth control pills for 3 days. On the fourth day, I started taking them again. Im in college and I have a crazy schedule so Im terrible about taking the pill at the same time everyday. Well, last night I had sex with a condom, and then we had sex again without a condom. I always have protected sex, and since I didnt last night, I panicked this morning and went out and bought Plan B emergency contraceptive and took it right away. I know its too early to take a pregnancy test..but is there a chance I could be pregnant?!

Guide

Hi Anonymous,
There is no chance that you could be pregnant and no need to take a pregnancy test. Plan B contains a larger dose of levonorgestrel, which is the same ingredient found in many birth control pills. It is effective in preventing pregnancy when taken as early as possible following unprotected sex, which is exactly what you did.
