Q:

Could I be pregnant?

I had unprotected sex on June 1st. My period was due to start June 2nd. It was late. I took a pregnancy test on June 9th with negative results. My period finally started on June 13th, lasting 7 days as usual (in a 28 day cycle). However, it was not as heavy as usual. Still no period as of today, July 18th. It should have began on the 10th. Could I be pregnant or is it more likely that it is just stress?

It's much more likely that something else is going on. Since you had a period that lasted your regular 7 days, that's a sign of normalcy. Occasionally when a woman is pregnant she bleeds anyway but it tends to be much lighter AND much shorter, or perhaps just spotting. This doesn't sound like what's going on with you.

Are you under a lot of stress? If so, I would say absolutely positively yes, this can be affecting your cycle. Stress plays tricks with our hormones, which plays tricks on our cycles. We can go late, early, longer or shorter, and it's both annoying and at times a little worrisome. But it's very normal. I'm betting you get your period in the next few days; but please come back and update us, OK?
