Could I be pregnant? Please help

I'm trying not to freak myself out, but I'm on the pill yes and last Tuesday (20th) I missed one and I'm pretty sure I'm not protected for 7 days after that. So on the Saturday (24th) night me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex. My period was due on the Monday technically (26th) but because I missed a pill last week I was supposed to skip the inactive pills this month and not have a period and i havent. And its late Wednesday now and I haven't taken any pill since Saturday. I read on my pill leaflet thing that if you have unprotected sex and then miss a pill there is a high risk of getting pregnant. And my question is, do you think I could have gotten pregnant? I know I have to wait 19 days before I can test and it's too late for emergency contraception. I was just wondering how high the risk of getting pregnant is? I'm not being paranoid but I've been really nauseous tired, strange appetite, and a really weird feeling in my lower stomach. I've posted on heaps of other websites, no one has replies to me.. Please!

Hi Anonymous,

If you miss one pill, you should be taking it with your other pill one day later to remain protected for the one missed. I am not sure who told you that you aren't protected for the next 7 days-- that is inaccurate, you should still be protected if you took both pills the following day.

If you continued taking your pills, then it is unlikely that you are pregnant. However, please take a pregnancy test after two weeks since it seems you stopped taking the pills. For future reference, do not stop taking your birth control pills, there is no reason to skip your inactive week, and set your alarm at the same time every day so that you can remember to take your pills.

Good Luck,

Rosa

Hi Rosa,
It's said on my pill leaflet thing that because it had been over 48 hrs when I realized I had missed a pill that I would not be protected for 7 days. And it also told me that because there was a certain amount of active pills left that I should skip the inactive and start on active ones again. I don't think I had been taking them properly for a while, not at the same time every night. And I know that's bad, but now I really would like to know how possible pregnancy is at this point? Because everyone else I have ask has told me that there's a good chance I could be.
