Could this mean I am pregnant

Hello!

I will start by saying I have never experienced this before...

symptoms over the last two weeks: dizziness hunger increase swelling of breasts tenderness of breasts around side under armpits headaches a cold lasting over a week tiredness during day insomnia at night cramping and my gums bled twice while crushing my teeth. I started what I thought was my period on Tuesday the 24th. It was much lighter than usual (I have a very heavy flow) and was bright red (mine is usually much deeper red). I used a tampon first and when I removed it there was hardly anything on it except some brown and light red. So I used a pad instead and again barely anything dropped, but it was there when I wiped. My periods are normally 4-5 days and in a day and a half this stopped. The next night I had brown discharge, no blood was in it. That night my boyfriend and I had sex and when I got up to use the bathroom in the morning I wiped and saw pink. It was very light but still bright as if fresh blood. Through all of this I have still been cramping but now my back has cramping my nipples have burning and numbing sensations and the sides are extremely sore. I feel tickling in my upper abdomen it sometimes makes me feel nauseous but haven't thrown up. My tests come back bfn but I keep hearing that I may have low HCG levels and that it is possible to still be pregnant even having bled. Any comments or thoughts?

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question. You will not have a menstrual cycle if you are pregnant but many women do have some sort of bleeding at times during their pregnancy. If you are concerned, the best way to find out for sure is to go to your doctor and have a blood test drawn. This will measure your hormone levels and will provide you the answer you seek. Good luck.
