Hi A.J.thompson,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  If you quit midway through a pack, you can experience some bleeding before your period begins.  Your first period after stopping birth control usually begins between four to six weeks after your last pill.  It will take time for your body to re-adjust to normal hormone levels.  So the length and heaviness of your period can vary. http://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.empowher.com/sexual-well-being/content/missed-birth-control-pill-advocacy-sheet&sa=U&ei=GWoyT5fuD8OJtwf_h6zqBg&ved=0CAYQFjAB&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNH98OxLRua4AjuhO7Jdn40rz0QOOQ
