crossover toe

about one year ago i had pain in the bottom of both feet. i had orthodics made $ 400:00 they do not work then seven months ago my second toe started to pop up and over toward my big toe. i have to pull it out to get it in line and that still doesn,t stay in line every time i put my foot down to walk it pops over. now my other toe on my other foot is doing this. whats your opinion and do i need surgery. please help. sandra ricciardi

Crossed over toes are as result of an imbalance in the muscles that flex and extend your toes. Orthotics are typically made to correct foot position.

Hasn't your podiatrist said anything about this condition?
