Hello snq,
Welcome again to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to us with your concern.
Since you have never been this late before, please take a home pregnancy test. Purchase an early response test, just to be sure. Test in the morning. Use the urine when you first wake up and use the bathroom.
Schedule an appointment with your gynecologist, regardless if the result is negative or positive.
If you and your husband have decided that you do not want to have any more children, think about permanent sterilization- you could have a tubal ligation or he can have a vasectomy.

Hello snq,
A tubal ligation — also known as having your tubes tied or tubal sterilization — is a type of permanent birth control. During a tubal ligation, the fallopian tubes are cut or blocked to permanently prevent pregnancy.
A tubal ligation disrupts the movement of the egg to the uterus for fertilization and blocks sperm from traveling up the fallopian tubes to the egg. A tubal ligation doesn't affect your menstrual cycle.
A tubal ligation can be done at any time, including after childbirth or in combination with another abdominal surgical procedure, such as a C-section. It's possible to reverse a tubal ligation — but reversal requires major surgery and isn't always effective.
Vasectomy is a form of birth control for men that is meant to be permanent.
During vasectomy, a health care provider closes or blocks the tubes that carry sperm. When the tubes are closed, sperm cannot leave a man's body and cause pregnancy.
Hope this is helpful,

Hello snq,
A woman may have spotting during her pregnancy. This must be mentioned to the obstetrician.
You would not have a normal period each month and still maintain the pregnancy. When you have your period, the lining of the uterus is shed and passes out of your body. When you are pregnant, the developing fetus is attached to the lining of the uterus.
Please consider scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist.
