Q:

delayed periods

Firstly, it has never been this late for me...
the reasons could be 1. The new fitness regimen that i followed this month...I exercised a few times rigorously...2. I began following a diet strictly...3. A series of unfortunate events that caused spells of depression (small, yet significant events)...4. The main cause of concern...(This may sound dumb...but i have generalized anxiety disorder and i'm pretty scared...)...I made out with my bf exactly a week back....actually on the day i expected my periods...I touched him and felt the wetness of his pre ejaculate through his boxers....I did not touch him directly..I actually wiped my hand with a towel after...I also believe i washed my hand.. though i doubt it now.....I touched myself after...Later, he touched me...But i recall making him wash his hands before he did...

It has been more than a week since the expected date...And i believe that the stress is making me delay it further...I'm also imagining all sorts of symptoms..like I feel nauseated a lot... My question is if pre ejaculate can cause pregnancy?..that too through the boxers...Do i have to worry....Can i lose this stress?

I'd really appreciate the help...Thanks a lot in advance...

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Stress and your recent lifestyle changes of increased exercise and diet are most likely causing the delay in the start of your period.

Pre ejaculate fluid itself does not contain sperm and cannot lead to pregnancy.

Do your best to relax and your periods should return to normal.

Regards,
Maryann

Thank you for your reply mam...that would help reduce my stress.

I would like to mention that he did tell me once that there are very little chances that it could be his cum...And also, I'm getting white discharge and feel abdominal uneasiness...although, i feel that the uneasiness is due to the tremendous amount of anxiety that i am in right now....I wouldn't have to worry about his right?
