Hi! I wanted to add in here that I am a teenager as this may affect the answers. I also want to add that I hurt myself REALLY easily (I broke my knee by running into a wooden door, got a concussion by hitting my head in my bed, etc.) I also have developed a pretty high pain tolerance as this is my 3rd year with CRPS (the most painful condition in the world). Okay, enough background info, here's what happened: I was sitting on the dock at camp kicking my feet in the water. It was hard to reach so I pointed my foot to get to the water. What I didn't realize was that there was a cornered metal bar underneath the dock. My foot went back too far and hit the dock... HARD. Long story short , that happened a few times and my foot became swollen and very discolored (purple) even when elevated. There is no bruising on the heel and I can walk but only with a limp. My toes can move but that's pretty much it. I am headed to the doctor this week but would like it to know what to expect. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Harmony37
Thank you for your post.
The doctor will likely take an x-ray to determine if there is a break. If so, a cast of some sort is likely. So, treatment will depend on the findings.

But does it sound like it could be broken?

Hi,
I have no way to know this. It might be.
