It's an neurogenic autoimmune disease which has no cure. It's progressive and may result in loss of motor nerve function including but not limited to Dystonia.

Hi Anon,

Both RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) and CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)are rare disorders of the sympathetic nervous system. Chronic conditions characterized by severe burning pain, most often affecting one of the extremities (arms, legs, hands, or feet).

Was there something specific you needed to know or wanted to ask?

Be well,

Will CRPS result in death? The Doc just told my partner they have CRPS and that they have about fifteen years. My partner is 41. This does not seem like a reasonable nor logical prognosis. Am I being naive.
