Can anyone please recommend a good female doctor in San Mateo, CA or advise how to locate one?
I have moved and it's so hard to find a doctor who you can trust.
I am also trying to find a great dentist who can SAFELY removed amalgam fillings.

You are fortunate to live near two top-ranking medical centers in the US: Mills Health Center in San Mateo and Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame. The Mills Peninsula Medical Group website has two great pages: "How to Select a Physician" and a "Physician Finder." The Physician Finder will help you select a doctor in their group based on specialty, gender and location. It will also tell you if the doctor is accepting new patients, give their credentials and provide a head shot so you can see what she looks like. Great resource. To look for a dentist in your area. Here's the link to the American Dental Association. They are an excellent resource. http://www.ada.org/
This may sound ridiculous, but I'm going to say it anyway...find someone who's smile you really like and I guarantee, you'll find a good dentist. Don't be afraid to go up to a women in the grocery store line, the mall, wherever, to ask for a recommendation. As we know, we are always willing to share.
Please come back and share with us your findings. You will really help the next woman who is looking in your area for a female doctor and a dentist. As we know, the best recommendations come from other women!!
In the meantime, I have family in your area and will check with them to see if they can help.

Nice area! How far are you willing to drive? I know a great doctor in the Napa Valley area. Her name is Eleonor Hynote. http://www.phoenixwellcare.com. It will be worth the drive. You can also call her office and she may know someone closer to you but as reputable as her. I cannot help you with a dentist, sorry.
