I have had two mammogram and one ultra sound on my left breast. Was told by the doctor it was an enlarge lymph node . It was at 10:00 and 10 cen. I have lost weight not trying too, and I also have some postmenopausal bleeding. Why do I have to wait 6 month for another mammogram to see if the lymph node get any bigger? Why not do a biopsy then and there? Worried.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

You have every right to be worried and question your doctor's recommendation. Are you sure the lymph node is 10 centimeters? That is equivalent to four inches!

I am concerned that you are having postmenopausal vaginal bleeding. Is your gynecologist aware of this?

Regards,
Maryann
