Feeling unmotivated after ovary removal

Hi,
I had my left ovary removed at the beginning of February. At first I was fine, stored taking my meds after about a week, then my body started producing too much histamine. I started having "fake" allergic reactions, so bad I was giving myself rug burn on my feet trying to get to the itch and bad enough that I was on the ground with chest pains, trying to breathe as everything started closing up. I've since been checked and I have to take a reactant, I'm down to every few days now.

But now I have no energy, I can do some chores/ housework for about a hour and then I need to rest. I have no motivation for anything really. I Had my follow up with the surgeon the other day and she didn't have any answers for me at all. I also feel very blah, don't really care about much kind of bummed all the time. I have 2 young kids, I need my energy back.

Hello. Thank you for posting.

It sounds like you might be depressed which can cause a lack of energy, feeling down or feeling moody, among other things. It's not unusual after an illness to become depressed. If you suspect this might be the case, speak with your doctor about and see what he or she suggests. Medications and/or talk therapy can help if needed.
