Need information regarding a sticky/thick fluid in the lining of the lung that is not responding to a drain in the back. Does this require surgery to remove the fluid?

Hi, Sharon, and thank you so much for your question.

May I ask a few more details? What condition does this patient have? How long has the drain been in? Is he or she dealing with an infection? Are they recovering from surgery?

Please tell us a little more so we are able to find you better information.
