I was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis about 3 years ago and Imuran was the only drug that decreased my symptoms. About a year ago I went off Imuran so that I could try to get pregnant and it was a disaster, I was in the bathroom 20 plus times a day, etc. So needless to say I'm back on Imuran. My GI doctor says that Imuran is safe to be on while pregnant, the OB/GYN says no its not. I have found a few things on the internet about people who have been on Imuran while pregnant and eveything turned out fine. Has anyone been through the same thing? I realize that all facts about the drug say do not use while pregnant, but I just wish I could find someone who has actually experienced use of it or something.
