Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community.

The two major causes of heel pain are plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis.

In general, if the pain is under your heel bone it is likely plantar fasciitis. If the pain is found at the back of the heel, in the achilles or toward the base of the achilles, then it is likely achilles tendinitis.

The pain might be caused by inflammation and irritation of the plantar fascia from a heel spur.

Consider speaking with your primary care physician and please, keep us posted.

Regards,
Maryann
