Someone in my family is trying to regain the weight he lost. Are there any tips to keep in mind or foods that would be good for him to eat?

Several things that helped us: take probiotics; a good one is Florastor but there are other good ones. Instead of big meals eat throughout the day. Keep fat grams in balance - too many can cause digestive issues. Breads with meals helps. And pasta has lots of calories, plus so many good things can be added to it to make it taste good. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hugs, pelvicradiation

Hello Amy Villarreal,
Thank you for sharing your question with the community. These are many ways your friend can gain a healthy weight after radiation treatments.
The good news is that now that he has finished with radiation, he will no longer have the symptoms that caused the lack of appetite; because the radiation causes food to taste and even smell unappealing.
The link down below lays out the best ways to gain a healthy weight without going over board. Within a week or 2 if he follows these tips, he will feel a difference.
