I have been eating vegetables that I have large amounts of vitamin a and wondering what is the toxic level since it's a theraputic oil based vitamin. I have measured what I normally eat, especially carrots and yams and though cooked, I have discovered that I have been possibly eating 30,000 to 50,000 iu a day via vegetables.

Hello Anonymous,
Thank you for your question. Vitamin A toxicity symptoms such as: headache and increased intracranial pressure. Acute toxicity also causes nausea and vomiting. Chronic toxicity also causes changes in skin, hair, and nails; abnormal liver test results; and, in a fetus, birth defects.
If you suspect that you may have a Vitamin A toxicity, then please schedule a doctors appointment for some serum level tests and a physical exam.
