How much do looks count? I don't mean good-looks, but appearance.
Would you hire a nanny with tatoos?
Would you rent out an apartment to someone with body piercings?
Would you hire someone who didn't dress stylishly or had body hair?
Would you hire someone who is morbidly obese?
We all want to be deeper than that...but looks matter.

I know in my younger years, looks or appearances were EVERYTHING!
Coming from a big city, I notice many different appearances to say the least. I went to my favorite fast food place, Chipolte, the other day and the young man behind the counter had a bull ring (the piercing that is through the middle cartillage of your nose.
I have to admit, I thought OUCH! I wasn't disgusted by it though since I am pretty used to it. I see tattoos often enough being ex-miliary and owning one of my own......I think no matter what your appearance, there is a personality behind it. Although in reality, that doesn't seem to happen. Especially in a work place.
