How to reduce depression and mental stress?

I am having a depression due to my family there is no use to sit and discuss with them about this...I want to recover by my own effort from stress what are the ways to come out of stress and depression ?

We need to know more about you and family dynamics.

Do you live with family that you don't get along with? If so, you may need to move out. Evaluate your position within the family -a temporary separation might be good for all involved. Some families simply aren't meant to be together or to have constant contact all the time.
Write down what causes bad feelings and fights - write down what triggers them. What can you do that change this?
If you can break away and take time to reflect on everything that has happened before, you may come up with some solutions. Space is very helpful when a person isn't getting along with family.
If you can tell us more than just "depression due to my family" we can help you more. What are they saying/doing to cause you such distress?
