How to treat Toenail Fungus?

My big toenail has turned brown. Not smelling that great. Feels overgrown and very painful when I wear my shoes which feels tight now. The showers in my new gym are not that clean -- worried I might get it on my other toes. How should I prevent?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. It might be a good idea to see a podiatrist or doctor. Treatment for fungus should be treated with oral medication and topical cream. If the gym's shower are not clean, it might be a good idea to wear slippers during the shower to avoid any recurrence of toenail fungus in the future. Hope this was helpful?
