i am 52. for the past 6 or 7 months I have had little to know menses. Now I have the cramps back and ame bleeding al ot this month, where I have to change more than I did a few years ago. Is this a nromal part of the process?

Because you are between ages 40 and 58, you are most likely either in midst premenopause or menopause. Do you have any other symptoms like hot flashes and/or night sweats?
Irregular periods, shorter, lighter periods, heavier periods, phantom periods, shorter cycles and longer cycles are all common side effects.
